Stiegl Craft Beer - Gipfelstürmer

A refreshing surprise from the mountains.

This hoppy wheat-style beer is brewed with the ancient cereal spelt.
The shining peach hue and creamy froth is your first impression of this speciality beer. Irresistibly fruity aroma ascents from the glass and increases your anticipation of the first sip. You will be rewarded with balanced hoppy notes, joined by a harmonious malty body and complemented by a delicately sparkling carbonation.

Notes from the brewer's diary:
"The best way to clear your mind for new beer creations is to hike in the High Tauern. This time my goal was the Grossglockner, the roof of Austria, which towers over all the surrounding mountains. I enjoyed my climb to the summit. The snow, the ice and the cold rocks provided a welcome refreshment of my mind. When I stood above the Hohenwartscharte, I did not believe my eyes: Nestled between ice and rocks grew a tropical fruit tree. Did I suffer from altitude sickness? Was it due to lack of oxygen?
Not at all! My next thought was crystal clear: A refreshing spelt beer with the fruity scent of tropical fruits had to come! Ignoring the summit, I quickly made my way to the descent, still thinking about the cream-colored head of this beer specialty. I could not wait to put my ideas into action."

„A bright, light orange and a crème-coloured foam head awaken the appetite for the first sip. The aroma rising from the glass is irresistible fruity. A bitter-smooth hoppy taste blends with a well-balanced malt body, the elegant carbonic acid is lively on the palate. The finish - a delicate hoppy affair.“
