Preheat the oven (upper-lower heat 190 °C).

9. vegan version: brush Striezel with water / classic version: brush Striezel with yolk-milk mixture (mix 4 tablespoons milk & 1 yolk).

10. sprinkle with hail sugar flowers.

11. turn oven down to 180 °C and bake for about 25-30 minutes.

Remove from baking sheet and let cool for 10 minutes.
Tips and Tricks:

If the mixture is a little hard to get out
:Use cooking spoon to go in once and tap lightly,
so the baking mixture falls out easier!

Resting time of the dough
:The longer the dough rests, the better it rises! Cover the bowl and place it in a warm place (approx. 24 °C room temperature). Avoid drafts! The dough should rise to twice its original height.

Freezing
