Biodynamic fermentation in the egg shape corresponds to the golden section without corners and edges. Wine, must and beer can move fluidly during the fermentation phase and storage. The process is thus more gentle and the beverage can reach full development. The idea of fermentation or aging in the egg is a return to ancient methods, but with new materials. Even in ancient times, wine was aged in egg-shaped amphorae. After experiments with egg-shaped fermentation containers made of concrete have been successfully tested in recent years, Speidel has now developed the fermenting egg made of food-safe PE.

After fermentation, the smooth inner surface is very easy to clean.
